OUR MEETINGS
ColCret Junta Classic is a colored polymer-modified mortar for joints based on cement, aggregates of selected granulometry, synthetic resins, mineral pigments and organic and inorganic additives. Anti-efflorescent and water-repellent, fast drying and setting, with high plasticity, for sealing joints from 2 to 20 mm. Particularly recommended for situations where a fast trafficability and putting into service of the coating or pavement is required.
ColCret Junta Premium is a product based on high-strength cement, aggregates, pigments, synthetic resins and special additives to provide it with superior water repellency and high resistance to the proliferation of microorganisms.

What joint width can I fill with a cementitious joint mortar?
It depends on the type of product used.
Standard cementitious grouts allow for a range of joint widths. For example, some grouts are formulated for wide joints (up to 20 mm), while others are specially designed for narrow joints between 1 and 4 mm; the latter are ideal for honed tiles and more precise finishes.
Are these gaskets suitable for wet areas or swimming pools?
Yes. High-performance cementitious grouts feature water-repellent properties, low water absorption, and protection against mold and microorganisms, making them suitable for bathrooms, showers, kitchens, patios, and swimming pools, both indoors and outdoors.
How long should I wait before cleaning the surface after grouting?
Cleaning should be performed when the material loses its surface sheen and becomes opaque, indicating that setting has begun.
This time can vary from 10 minutes to several hours, depending on the joint width and environmental conditions. Cleaning too early can leave the joint empty, and cleaning too late can make it difficult to remove the material.
When can the pavement be opened to traffic or put into service?
Under normal conditions:
- Light traffic is usually possible after 24 hours.
- Full curing may take between 72 and 96 hours, especially in damp areas or those exposed to water.
These curing times ensure that the seal cures properly and is durable.
What mistakes should I avoid when applying a cementitious joint?
Some common mistakes are:
- Using too much water when kneading, which can cause visible shrinkage.
- Do not apply the product at temperatures below 5 °C or above 35 °C.
- Failure to observe the minimum curing time after installing the cladding (24–48 hours).
- Failure to properly clean the edges of the joint before applying the product.
Avoiding these issues is key to achieving a strong, uniform, and durable joint.
