MORTAR TYPES
Repair mortars
Restore lost strength to columns, floor slabs, stair edges or balconies quickly and safely. Our repair mortars bond to aged concrete, mortar or masonry, fill voids and seal cracks without sagging.
masonry mortars
Mortars designed to build walls and partitions in a simpler and cleaner way. Its creamy texture spreads effortlessly, envelops each brick or block and guarantees uniform joints that allow plastering or coating without touch-ups.
Coating mortars
Homogeneous and durable finishes on facades and walls. Our coating mortars are easy to apply, correct small irregularities and provide a uniform surface ready for painting or decorating. Their formulation ensures excellent adhesion and weather resistance.
Rehabilitation mortars
Integral solution to restore solidity and aesthetics to deteriorated constructions. Rehabilitation mortars consolidate damaged supports, recover lost volume and protect against humidity and carbonation. Ideal for renovating walls, facades or structural elements while maintaining the safety and original appearance.
Frequently Asked Questions about Mortars
How much mix do I need per m² ?
Most technical mortars use between 1.5 and 1.8 kg per mm of thickness per m².
What is the usage time of the mixture?
It has between 45 to 60min to apply the mortar, depending on the ambient temperature. Prepare only the amount you are going to place in that interval.
How thick can the repair mortar be?
Can be applied from 5mm to 40mm in one coat. For higher thicknesses, apply in successive coats.
Are coating mortars waterproof?
Colcret coating mortars are NOT waterproof on their own.
They are water-repellent, meaning they repel rainwater and reduce absorption, but they do not create an absolutely waterproof barrier.
For areas exposed to constant water or critical areas (roofs, terraces, showers, tanks, etc.), it would be best to apply a waterproofing system from the Impercret line.
Do I need a bridge?
Only on very smooth or slightly porous surfaces. In these cases use a Colcret bonding primer before the mortar.
